Equity Partner

Vanguard Justice LLC seeks one or more equity partners to join the firm. The timeline for applications is open, and the position will be filled when we find the right fit.

The primary responsibility of this position will be to act as lead counsel in the firm’s litigation, handling day-to-day lawyering, in furtherance of the firm’s strategic vision. The position offers significant autonomy, including the ability to work remotely as appropriate and agreed upon with the firm.

Information regarding pay: As Vanguard Justice LLC is a start-up law firm, this is an unsalaried position. In the event we mutually agree that we want to work together, and upon execution of a confidentiality agreement, we will be happy to discuss with you the firm’s anticipated profitability, as well as specific proposed terms of the partnership.

Vanguard Justice has been operating since 2022, and carrying a full-time litigation caseload since mid-2024. We represent people in cases that take on government and corporate corruption and misconduct.

To apply, please answer the following questions with as much or as little detail as you think is reasonable:

1) Please provide and describe at least two examples of when you, acting as a lawyer, have stood up to someone more powerful than you.

2) What do you think the appropriate relationship between the government, corporations, and individuals should be?

3) What scholar (legal or otherwise) has had the biggest impact on your approach to lawyering?

4) Are you licensed to practice law in Colorado?

In addition to your answers to the above questions, please send your CV and two legal writing samples. Please provide an estimate of the percentage of both the legal research and legal writing that you yourself did in preparation of your samples.

You do not need to provide a cover letter. If you take the time to answer the above questions, we’re persuaded that you are truly interested in working with us.

All application materials should be submitted to lisi@vanguardlawandpolicy.com.
